Clashed Ideas
In comparison to my previous year's experience with Outdoor Education, I found this trip to achieve the learning outcomes not only for us in an Adult Learning Environment, but also the great potential for High School aged students. Whilst last year some of this was lost as it was more of a guided tour, this hike required mental contributions in conjunction with fitness and stamina to persist.
The Sport and Recreation Facilities also provide another option for those who are less inclined to enter the wilderness.
As an educator it will likely come down to your students or clientele to which you see most suitable. All maintain validity if facilitated correctly and can prove quite successful at achieving syllabus outcomes let alone personal milestones.
